Blissfield Baseball History

Last year the the Blissfield Royals baseball team kept the great tradition going.  Blissfield had a phenomenal year on the ball diamond.  Blissfield commanded the LCAA once again, winning their eleventh consecutive league championship.  Blissfield was 11-1 in league and 36-8-1 overall.  Blissfield's goal though wasn't to win the league title.  It was to win the Division III title.  Blissfield cruised through regionals, and the district before losing to Homer 5-3.

Blissfield has played in three leagues since the school district was formed, the Lenawee County Athletic Association, the Huron League and the Michigan-Ohio Border Conference.  Blissfield has won 43 league championships between these three leagues dating back to 1919.  Blissfield has won 21 District Championships, 13 Regional Championships and a state record 7 State Championships.  Blissfield has had 38 First-Team All-State players and 12 Second-Team All-State players.

Blissfield baseball is known not only around the state but also around the nation.  Blissfield has always had an excellent baseball team on and off the field.  Blissfield takes a lot of pride in their baseball program.  With a great coach and great ball-players they plan on continuing this tradition in the following years to come.
